Men's Night At Church

Just settling down after a wonderful evening with my Christian brothers at our church's Men's Night. It is so much of a blessing to get a group of fellow Christian brothers together in a night of worship and prayer where men can be open and honest without having to be on their guard. I am so thankful to be a part of such a wonderful body of believers that have welcomed me into their brotherhood and accepted me just as I am. The Spirit of the living God dwells among us as we lift Him up in prayer and worship. We are believing for 100 men who are "all in" for Christ to be faithful to the group and to lead their families in the ways and the truths of the Lord. It is by his Grace and Mercy that we are able to openly worship the most high God openly. We praise and honor your Holy name Father. To you be all the Glory. We love you so Daddy.

Glory to GOD!

We so often turn inward and look to our own understanding pertaining to life as we perceive it. We tend to become mere spectators in life when we in fact we are called to be lamps unto the darkness that is this world. As followers of Christ, we are to reflect His very image and nature, not succumb to the ways of this world and the sinful nature we came into this world with. We must crucify our flesh daily and bear the cross daily and surrender all if we are to reflect the Spirit of the One we claim to serve.

Jesus took onto himself the sins of this world and paid the price that we could not pay, for a debt He did not owe. All to the Glory of GOD the Father. Giving His only begotten Son that through Him we could have everlasting life. No man comes to the Father but through the Son. Abba Father loves us so very deeply. The whole of His creation shouts and declares His Glory. Why as believers do we fail so often to walk out what we know to be true? Why do we allow this world to influence us and distract us from the calling the Lord has placed on our lives while on this earth? Why do we think first of ourselves much to often? Because the heart of man is desperately wicked. We are sinners from birth and self centered by our very nature. It is only through the Blood of Jesus, Lamb of God, Son of Man, Blessed Messiah, our Savior and Redeemer, The Way, The Truth, The Life, by the Grace and the Mercy of the Most High God, that through his Holiness and His forgiveness, we can come boldly to the Throne in the name of Jesus. If we repent of our sins, ask Him for forgiveness, receive Him into our hearts, and surrender to the authority that is His and His alone, through the blood of our Savior we are then washed white as snow. As far as the east is from the west. It is in our weakness that His strength is revealed.

We must continually keep our eyes on Jesus. The price has been paid, the victory is His, we must remain faithful and steadfast to the very end. We must realize that we cannot on our own abilities be good enough, do good enough, give enough or be enough to earn His mercy and grace! It is a gift given freely when we accept Jesus as Lord and become a slave to Christ. Lord by its very definition implies ownership of us. We are grafted in and adopted when we come to the cross with repentant hearts.

Live for the Lord by surrendering all that you are and taking on His Righteousness given freely to you. Our righteousness is like filthy rags. He is Righteous, he is Sovereign, He alone is Holy, we are to be Holy too. I know it is to much for me and I am so very thankful that He provided a way for me. I love you Lord Jesus, help me to be all that you called me to be. I surrender.

Merry Christmas Greetings

Received this from a friend, thought it would be nice to post. The description rings out so loud and unfortunately, so very true! Merry Christmas to you all.

Merry Christmas!

I will be making a conscious effort to wish everyone
A Merry Christmas this year ...
My way of saying that I am celebrating
The birth Of Jesus Christ.
So I am asking my email buddies,
If you agree with me,
To please do the same.
And if you'll pass this on to
Your email buddies, and so on....
Maybe we can prevent one more
American tradition from being lost in the sea of
"Political Correctness".

To one and All...
Jesus is the reason for the season!

What A Night Of Rejoicing!

The passing of a dear friend can be a saddening, tragic event. But if that dear friend happens to be a devoted follower of the Lord Jesus Christ, then sorrow can be shattered by the light of the Lord! What a blessed night of Praise and Worship in our packed house of prayer, rejoicing the life and family memories of our beloved sister in Christ, Nancy. We sang, we cried, we Praised and we Worshiped, we listened to husband, sons and daughters share of the love and the legacy left to them by dear Nancy. Stories of lessons learned, truths taught, poems birthed, songs composed, and truth preached to believers and non-believers alike. A night where the spirit tugged at lost hearts and encouraged believers alike. All to the glory of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, Jesus, Lamb of God! Nancy, you will live on in the lives you touched and the family you so lovingly cared for, the fruit of which will touch generations yet to come. We will miss you in our Praise and Worship before our services, we will miss your wonderful hospitality and your great cooking, we will miss your beautiful smile, we will miss you! We find comfort knowing that you are present with our Lord and sitting at His feet, Praising him without end, for all eternity, never ceasing. We know that all is well with your soul. Thank you so very much for allowing Rebecca and I the opportunity to become your friend. We love and miss you deeply.

I LOVE my Mountaineers

Mountaineers are always free!!!
Trying out the mobile route to my blog. Let's see if it works.

Working On Our Blog Set-up and Remembering Nancy.

Just sitting here trying to figure out this "blogging" thing. It's 12 midnight, trying to relax and get to "beddy bye" time.....just not there yet. Spent a very sad evening with our dear church family as we reflect on the passing of a wonderful sister in the church. She and her family are so dear to us, like family. Her name is Nancy and what a blessing she was. Her smile brought light into your life. Her voice was so beautiful as she sang with our Praise and Worship leaders. A wonderful mother and wife. Her husband Tim and her children are so dear but look so worn. They have been through a very long battle with the "enemy" over Nancy's health., holding strong until the very end. To GOD be the Glory, for Nancy is now present with our Lord and can sing His praise for all eternity! Our Savior has paid the price, and the victory is His. No more pain, no more sorrow. We will join together on Wednesday night for a "celebration service"
